We have completed this relatively small but beautifully formed new, single storey, extension to a significant period dwelling house in the Woodside Conservation Area in West London. It provides a new kitchen, lounge and wet-room adding additional accommodation to the current dwelling.
High performance apex ridge lights and gable end glazing ensure maximum natural daylight and optimum thermal properties.
The work involved forming piled foundations in order to protect the roots of a magnificent Yew tree. A ring beam was then formed just under a meter above ground level on which the new building sits and this allows the floors of the new extension to line through with the main reception rooms of the original house.
The project was completed on time and on budget
