An award-winning residential scheme, situated on the River Cam in Cambridge. The development sets a high standard for housing design and creates 77 homes, each with a wonderful river view. One-, two- and three-bedroom apartments are located in a series of linked blocks of differing heights that follow the River Cam’s course, curving across the site. The penthouses on the top floor have striking perimeter glazing and stunning roof terraces.
To meet the fast-track programme the we pioneered and implemented an innovative method of construction which features factory made light gauge, steel-framed insulated wall and floor panels complete with door and window openings delivered straight to site. The panels were then over-clad with terracotta and insulated render. This is a pioneering use of a lightweight steel cassette system on a multi-storey building and places us at the forefront of such technology.
