Holyport Film Studios Masterplan

Holyport Studios designed by 4D Studio Architects is a major new film studio to the south-east of Holyport In the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead. It will provide c.60,000 sqm of studio space alongside a new 16.9-ha nature park. The site is approximately 43.15-ha of land. It is a short distance from the successful and expanding Bray Studios. The large site offers the opportunity to create an entirely new film studio complex. It will direct hundreds of millions of pounds of new investment into the local economy. It will also create hundreds of new jobs.

There is significant growth in UK investment and expenditure for Film & TV production. This is driving up considerable demand for studio space. It has led to an acute shortage of studio space suitable for producing high-end content in the Southeast. This is particularly the case west of London. Holyport Studios presents a rare and fantastic opportunity. It will provide a brand-new purpose-built studio within the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead. It will help establish the borough as a leading centre of exceptional Film & TV production.

The proposals will bring forward considerable benefits to Holyport, RBWM, and the region. Holyport Studios will create c.1,500 FT E local jobs and c.1,800 jobs through construction. These will be well-paid jobs. They will require a range of skill sets. They will enable the upskilling and growing of the comparatively low Berkshire employment base. The UK’s total spend on film & high-end TV productions for 2021 was nearly £6 billion, up from £4 billion in 2019.Due to the undersupply of studio space and the opportunity Holyport Studios presents, a significant portion of this spend can be directed in future towards Holyport Studios.
