Stratheden’s Cape Dutch architecture is unique in the area and that is why the local authority has listed the building and, as such, preserved its architectural heritage.

Built in 1925, this impressive Cape Dutch style house boasts nine bedrooms, eight bathrooms, five reception rooms and other interior luxury amenities such as wall-to-wall mirrors, steam-room, and a large ballroom. The property is spread over four floors with the leisure complex which includes a cinema based on the subterranean level.

Following significant water ingress 4D Studio Architects have prepared the design and construction packages to demolish and rebuild the extensive underground complex beneath the sunken garden and to upgrade the MEP systems that include air conditioning throughout the house.
