For McLaren

28 South Molton Street

This relatively small building has been built to an exceptionally high standard with its complex facade of terracotta panels, manufactured in Germany, incorporating green walls and rainwater collection.

Wll  Cardoc-Hodgkins a 4D Studio Architects Director was asked by the Design and Build contractors McLaren to act as Executive Architect on this iconic retail design by DSDHA.

This triangular building included three floors of retail, one being the basement, a floor of office space and a two-storey penthouse.

Situated at the top of South Molton Street, at Oxford Street, it was completed on time and on budget for its opening for the start of the Olympics in July 2012.

“Architecture is the thoughtful curation of space, blending artistry and functionality to shape our built environment.”
