For Camden and Islington NHS Foundation Trust.
Regis Road Community Mental Heralth Hub
A Welcoming Community Mental Health Hub
Conversion of a former warehouse shed into a flexible and comfortable community mental healthcare hub for the Camden and Islington NHS Foundation Trust. The project was designed by Teva Hesse of 4D Studio Architects while head of C F Møller London and constructed and handed-over within a fast-track programme of 7 months.
Within the un-insulated shell of a former Howdens warehouse, with no drainage, water services or mechanical services, we worked side-by-side with the NHS client and contractor.
Together we delivered a facility with consultation and treatment rooms on the ground floor and new open-plan, flexible workspaces and meeting rooms on the floor above.
The project introduces flexible office accommodation design that were new to the C&I NHS Trust such as shared workstations, ‘hot-desking’, break-out kitchens for team meetings, bookable meeting rooms and ‘pods’ for impromptu discussions/team working. The result is a flexible hub that brings teams together in a collaborative environment.
