4D Studio Architects are the Architect for this proposed new Film and Television Studio complex in west London.
The site is well connected being close to the Hayes and Harlington Elizabeth line station, 8 minutes from Heathrow airport and with easy and quick access to central London.
The site currently contains two listed office buildings and is located adjoining greenbelt. The 4D Studio proposal provides for a conservation-based restoration of the listed buildings together with the demolition of a less distinguished later office building and an existing two deck car park.
The areas vacated will provide the location for 5 new sound stages of varying size totalling 80,000 sq. ft. The studio will also be provided with comprehensive service yards, lorry parking and new car multi storey park.
The soundstages will be supported by 80,000 sq. ft of production workshops and 70,000 sq. ft of production offices, the latter in the refurbished listed buildings.
The studio will also accommodate a generous backlot.
